He worked with his brother at the Sinclair Service Station in Navasota and later moved to the Humble Service Station on LaSalle where he worked for many long and hard hours and he made many friends from the young men he hired there. He began his career at the Navasota Post office as a postal carrier and clerk where he retired after many years.
Lloyd was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, usher and a member of Adult 7 Sunday School Class. He served as a community volunteer fireman and was Fire Chief for almost 30 years. He was a member of Orphan’s Friend Lodge #17 A.F. & A.M. and on October 3rd of this year was presented his 70 year service award.
