September 25, 1959 — December 2, 2008

Lisa Cross, 49, of Navasota, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Navasota with Rev. Clyde Larrabee officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota. Visitation will be at Nobles Funeral Chapel Thursday, with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Lisa was born Friday, September 25, 1959 in Corpus Christi to Edward Cleveland and Ranell McKay (Gilland) Offield. She married John Cross in McKinney, Texas on October 6, 1989. Lisa was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Navasota and the Rainbow Girls. She was an educator at Navasota School District for 8 years who motivated her students, and she demonstrated a dedication to all of her activities, both large and small, and could inspire those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Lisa is survived by her husband, John Eugene Cross of Navasota; daughters & son-in-law, Faith Ann Cross Hughes and husband Keven of Mesquite, and Joy Annell Muliya Cross of Navasota; sons & daughters-in-law, Jonathan Jaye Skye Cross & Erin Vath of Fort Worth, and Johnny Keye Kijika Cross & wife Sandra of Sweden; sisters, Pam Barkley of Fort Worth, and Linda Overall of Conroe; and 2 grandchildren, Paige & Alyssa Hughes.
Pallbearers include Mark Jackson, Harold Reeves, Loy Coffey, and Steve Stribling of Navasota, Lynn Kuntz of Millican, and Jay Downey of College Station.
