Lillian was born Feburary 17, 1929 in Grimes County to Fritz and Annie (Horn) Wehmeier. After high school, she attended business college and worked as a bookkeeper throughout her life. On November 19, 1955, she married Jessie Floyd Shimshack and together they raised seven children.

Lillian was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in White Hall, the Salem Lutheran Church Ladies Circle and VFW Post #4006 Ladies Auxiliary. She lived life to the fullest and taught each and everyone the value of family. God truly blessed all of us with her many years among us here on Earth. We know that Memaw and Papaw are sitting on a swing together, enjoying that heavenly afternoon breeze. You will be forever missed!
