Heaven has gained another special angel. Mrs. Lillian L. Eaves, 76, of Navasota, left her earthly life and joined her mom, dad, many cousins, and daughter-in-law, Linda, on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 26th at 1:00pm in the Madeley Chapel in Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Lupe Ybarra officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Lillian was born May 28, 1936, in Channelview, TX, the daughter of John Everette & Wilma Jewel (Hatter) McNary. She married J.W. Eaves on May 19, 1956, and the two were missionaries with the Assembly of God for almost 40 years working in Alaska, Navasota, and Bryan. Lillian also graduated from Sam Houston State University and taught school in Anderson and Alaska. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband for over 56 years.
Mrs. Eaves is survived by her husband, Rev. J.W. Eaves of Navasota; sons, Joel Eaves and wife Mona of Brazoria, Dexter Eaves of Victoria, Sam Eaves of Austin, and John Eaves and wife Lee Ann of Navasota; sister Billie Hunt and husband Art of The Woodlands; brothers, Jerry & David McNary of Navasota; grandchildren, Jamie & Steven Wade, Erin & Nick Dayton, Sarah, Bruce, Peter, & Jayne Eaves, Kristin & Jason Handselburton, Zach Eaves, and Kristina Arrington; great-grandchildren, Logan, Danelle & Jennifer Arrington, and Dutch Handselburton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins cherish her memory as well.
Serving as pallbearers are sons Joel, Dexter, Sam & John Eaves and brothers Jerry & David McNary. Honorary pallbearers include her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
