Mrs. Levonia Loraine (Kelly) Lucas, 86, of Bryan, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Lampstand Health and Rehab in Bryan. Funeral services are set for 3:00pm Saturday, October 10, at Shiro Baptist Church, with Rev. Gene Beamon officiating. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery.
Mrs. Lucas was born October 14, 1922 in Kingsville, to William and Levonia Kelley. She married Leo Lucas in Houston on December 17, 1940.
She is survived by her daughters, Lonnie Lucas of Bryan, and Ylena Burgoon and husband Collin of Seguin; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Heyman of Anderson; Jared Heyman of College Station; Kirk Heyman of San Antonio; Seth Burgoon, Chanda Burgoon and Collin Burgoon, all of Seguin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 W. 26th St., Bryan, TX 77803.
