Leonard "Red" Turner, 81, of Hempstead passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011. The family will receive visitors from 5-7pm Friday, February 4, and funeral services are set for 10am Saturday, February 5, both at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Greg Felder officiating. Interment will follow in Friedens Church Cemetery in Washington.
Red was born in Richards on June 21, 1929. He married Shirley Ann Lauter at the Friedens Church of Washington, UCC on June 16, 1957, and loved her until her passing in 1992. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his son, Scott Turner of Waller.
