Mrs. Leona L. Kettler, 85 of Navasota died at 2:34 p.m. Friday in College Station. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota with Rev. Don Kasper officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Monday at Nobles Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.
Mrs. Kettler was born March 28, 1922 in William Penn, the daughter of Ed and Henrietta (Heidemann) Luckemeyer. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota.
She is survived by her husband: Edwin H. Kettler of Navasota; daughter and son-in-law: Jeannette and James Welch of Orange; son and daughters-in-law: Stanley and Carolyn Kettler of Navasota, Pinney Kettler of Navasota; sister and brother-in-law: Nina Jean and Floyd Siptak of Navasota; sister-in-law: Erna Luckemeyer Guetzlaff of Kerrville; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Thomas Henry Kettler, a brother: Lawrence Luckemeyer and a sister: Eloise Luckemeyer.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Welch of Navasota, Keith Welch of Orange, David Welch of Orange, Chad Kettler of Greenville, William Kettler of Navasota, Joshua Kettler of Navasota, Robert Kettler of Washington and Grady Harris of Navasota.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church of Navasota.
