Lavonne Driggs Kooken, 85, of Bryan, formerly of Navasota, died peacefully Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Lampstand Nursing Home in Bryan. She was born March 6, 1924 in South Dakota.
Lavonne is survived by her brothers, Merle Driggs of South Dakota and Gene Driggs of California; daughter, Camille Kooken Stoltenberg and husband Craig of Angleton; sons, Craig Kooken and wife Gena of Houston, Keith Kooken of Houston, Hal Kooken and wife Mattilou of Huntsville, and Kerry Kooken of Las Vegas, Nevada; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kooken; sister, Mary; and her parents. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.
