Larry Werchan, 78 of Navasota, passed away Monday, December 6th at St. Joseph Hospital in College Station. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, December 10th at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A private burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Larry was born in Brenham, Texas on November 12, 1943 in to Louis A. and Corinne Engelbrecht Werchan. After high school, he joined the U. S. Marine Corps and proudly served our country from 1964-1966 with the VMA-223 Bulldogs during the Vietnam War. Returning stateside, he became a very successful salesman, businessman, and realtor.
In 1997, he married Sandra Ann Overton. His proudest accomplishments in life were his three children; Haven, Shannon and Shane, and his greatest blessings were his grandchildren and great-grandson.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of almost 25 years, Sandra Werchan; daughters Haven Wisnoski and Shannon Lea Pickering; son Shane Alan Werchan; step-son James Overton; grandchildren Kameron and Kaleb Wisnoski, Kelcey and Reece Overton and Emma and Wyatt Pickering; great-grandson Tate Wisnoski and his devoted boxer, Heidi.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sons-in-law Johnny Wisnoski & Tony Rangel.
