Mr. Labe L. Schultz, 100, of Plantersville died at Grimes St. Joseph Hospital, Sunday, June 16, 2013. A visitation was held Tuesday, June 18th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A Rosary followed at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 19th at 10:30 a.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Rite of committal followed in St Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Labe was born on January14, 1913, in Columbus, Texas, the son of Willie & Emilia Schultz. His favorite hobbies included fishing, gardening, playing dominoes and carving wooden toys for children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dottie Schultz & daughter, Sharon Lambert.
He is survived by son-in-law, Waymon Lambert of Plantersville; sister, Lavine Steancek of Columbus; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren & numerous nieces & nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were James Harlan of Conroe, Kenneth Lambert of Willis, Kevin Mock, Johnny Mock, Michael Briggs & Ronnie Briggs all of Plantersville. Honorary pallbearers were Grady Whiddon & Michael Lambert both of Conroe.
