L. Teston

L. V. Teston, 84, of Richards passed away Saturday, May 19, 2007. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 22. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwain Steinkuehler officiating. Burial will follow at Richards Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Teston was born on March 10, 1923 in Columbia, Mississippi, son of Harvey and Minnie Teston.
Mr. Teston was former Postmaster of South Houston before retiring to the country in Richards. He was a member of Deer Park Masonic Lodge #1362, the Air Force Sergeants Association, former member of the South Houston Rotary Club, and former president of the South Houston Chamber of Commerce. He was also a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1983 with 34 years of both active and reserve duty.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Allen LaVaughn Teston of Augusta, Georgia.
Mr. Teston is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Evelyn Heise Teston; daughter, Laurie Teston of Richards; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Dianna Teston of Anderson; three grandchildren, Danny, Amy, and Jacy Teston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Claxton of Garland, Bonnie and Richard Capson of New Boston, and Peggy and Lester Flanery of DeKalb; brothers and sister-in-law, H. A. Teston of DeKalb, Edwin Teston of Wake Village, and Cecil and Tina Teston of Cedar Creek; and his special "granddog" Fritz.
