Mrs. Kay Francis Davis

Mrs. Kay Francis (Stoker) Davis, 83 of Fulshear, passed away Wednesday, September 5th at Sundance Memory Care in Katy. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am, Sunday, September 9th at Nobles Funeral Chapel with interment following in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Carlos. Rev. Sue Beall will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.


Mrs. Davis was born August 28, 1935 in Lufkin, Texas to Robert and Bessie Stoker. After graduating high school, she began working as a school secretary. She met and married Leo Davis and together they raised two sons.


She is survived by her son, Chet Davis and wife, Diane of Fulshear; sister Bobbie Jean Burkhalter of Houston; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were her parents; sister Dorothy Forsythe; husband Leo Davis and son, Jeffrey Davis.

Serving as pallbearers are Monte Beall of Bryan, Butch Northcut and Frank Leone, both of Cotulla; Cody Robinson of Prosper, Les Burkhalter of Houston; Jake Manchaca of Katy; Troy Manchaca of League City and Dwayne Howell of Lufkin.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in her memory be made to the Make A Wish Foundation; 1604 Bissonnet; Houston, Texas 77005.
