Kathy Teague, 70, of Roans Prairie, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, in Katy. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Monday, March 4, 2024, with the funeral service at 1 pm, Tuesday, March 5, 2024, with both services at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Bay’s Chapel Cemetery. Officiating services for the family is long time family friend Rev. Gary Ladd, Pastor of Grace Point Fellowship Baptist Church in Magnolia. Services are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Kathy Brandt Teague was born in Houston, Texas, Tuesday, October 20, 1953, to her parents Melvin Charles and Anna Marie King Brandt. She graduated from Waltrip High School in Houston. She always had a love and passion for growing flowers. Her life as a mother was complete with her three children Betty, Will, and Taylor. Kathy would meet the forever love of her life and would celebrate 33 years of marriage to Tracy Joe Teague. They married in Houston and while residing in Roans Prairie where they would create a house into a home for their family. She enjoyed sharing life celebrations with her family by hosting everyone’s birthday parties, seasonal holidays which included Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her cooking will be forever missed as Kathy provided wonderful meals for family and friends. Her true devotion in life would be her growing number of grandchildren. The yearly Teague Family vacations to Surfside will be forever changed; Kathy looked forward to this trip.
Her parents, Melvin and Anna Marie Brandt; her granddaughter, Brittany Sowards, all preceded her in death.
Kathy’s legacy will continue in the lives of her survivors, her husband, Tracy Joe Teague; her children Betty and husband Ronnie Sowards, Will and wife Myra Daniel, and Taylor Teague; her brother. Arlon Brandt; her sister, Donna and husband Chuck Brookshire; her mother and father – in- law, Lee and Jean Teague; her extended family, Terry and Delia Teague, Tammy and Glenn Kuykendall, Ted and Leah Teague, Toni and Ron Rissman; her adored grandchildren, Rycky Sowards, Kadence Daniel, Serenity Daniel, Sullivan Daniel, Rose Fafard, Joseph Miller, Robert Miller, and one to be born shortly; her bonus grandchildren, Brooklyn Sowards, Taylie Sowards, Callie Sowards, and Hollie Sowards; numerous nephew and nieces, and other family and friends.
Honoring the life of Kathy as pallbearers are Trey Teague, Glenn Kuykendall, James Cobb, Chad Steeland, Robert Jones, and Sullivan Daniel.
