Kathleen Conkling died peacefully March 10, 2013 at Medical Center of Arlington in Arlington, Texas.
She was born on December 19, 1949 in Navasota, Texas to Bill and Lilyan Ruth Conkling.
She graduated from Navasota High School in 1967 and attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas from 1967 to 1969.
In June of 1969 she married Raymond Love of Navasota with whom she had two children- Marshall Scott and Susan Adeline.
She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1971 with a BA in Elementary Education. She then began her lifelong love of teaching. Her love of children was a big part of her life as was her love of writing and collecting poetry.
She had a constant and dedicated love of church and her spiritual life. She belonged to the 1st Baptist Church of Navasota and later the 1st United Methodist Church of Navasota.
She was loved dearly by those who knew her and always lit up a room with her charm and wit.
She is survived by her son Marshall Love and wife Casey; daughter Susan Love, grandsons Solon and Jacques Rory, sisters Susan Paterson and husband Steve, and Barbara Conkling and brother Coleman Conkling and wife Kim.
A memorial service planned for Saturday, June 22, 2:00 PM @ Nobles Funeral Chapel Interment in Oakland Cemetery-Navasota.
