Mr. Joseph Lee Marcelle, 61, of Anderson passed away Friday, June 16 at his home. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, June 23 from 6:00-8:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24 at 11:00am at the funeral home with the Rev. James Mable, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in the Houston National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Joseph was born January 9, 1956 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin to Arthur and Lorraine (Brouchoud) Marcelle. He graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers and joined the U. S. Navy, where he proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1979. He married Jacqueline Richardson on August 9, 1997, and after close to 20 years of marriage they renewed their vows on August 13, 2016. Joe was a machinist by trade and worked at BodyBilt in Navasota until his illness.
Mr. Marcelle is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; children Elgin Richardson and April Richardson; brothers and sisters-in-law Peter Allen Marcelle, John Paul Marcelle, Dale John and Roberta Marcelle, and Kevin Arthur Marcelle; sisters and brothers-in-law Nancy Marie and Michael Boston and Sandra and George Micke; brothers-in-law Titus, Dural and Troy Richarson; sisters-in-law Marylyn Terrell, Sharon Terrell, Peggy Johnson, and Barbara Stewart; grandchildren De’Eldre Richardson, Jenaejah Rutherford and JaVonni Rutherford; godchildren Sara Jane Richardson, Arnesha Gunnels and Kelbresha Moore and best friends Phil and Sabrina Palmer and
Leonard and Winnie Mickens.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
