Mr. Jose C. Amaya

Jose C. Amaya, 90 of Navasota, passed away Thursday, October 3rd at CHI St. Joseph Hospital in College Station. Visitation with family and friends will be held Monday, October 7th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, at Nobles Funeral Chapel, followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 8th at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota with Rite of Committal following in Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Eli Lopez will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Jose was born in Mexico on March 18, 1929 to Monico and Consepcian Longoria. He married Concepcion Murguia and together they had four children. Jose worked in agriculture to support his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Elena Amaya; sons and daughters-in-law Jose and Flor Amaya, Felix and Ana Maria Amaya and Lorenzo and Elva Amaya and grandchildren Jose, Jr., Ana, Lissa, Estrella, Lucero and Krystal.
Serving as pallbearers are Lorenzo Estupinan, Gustavo Estupinan, Gabriel Fernanadez, Efrain Fernandez, Seratin Estupinan and Seratin Estupinan, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Conception.
