Jon Scott Massey

Jon Scott Massey, 60, of Plantersville, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024.  Cremation services have been entrusted to Nobles Funeral Chapel

He was preceded in death by his parents Cynthia Ann Tiger of Lubbock, Texas and Jon Massey of Belton, Texas.

He leaves behind a wife, Nicole Massey, of Plantersville, Texas. Daughters Kimbra Moon and husband J.C. of Midland, Texas and Brandie Brocato and husband Ryan of Alexandria, Louisiana. Sister Jennifer Wiggins and husband Donnie of Granbury, Texas and a brother Jon Russell Massey of Brady, Texas. He had four grandchildren, Clara & Rylan Moon and Luke & Amelia Bracato.

He was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on November 21, 1963. He attended Bolton High School in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was a mechanic and very handy with all things automotive, but found his passion as an Engineer for Union Pacific Railroad.

He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing and bow hunting. He found great joy in watching his grandchildren play sports and teaching them how to fish. For Christmas, he bought them fully outfitted tackle boxes to fish just like him.

A memorial service will be held at Texas Relay Station Event Center, located at 15654 Highway 105 Plantersville, Texas77363, on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to castforkids.org in his memory.
