John McGinty

Mr. John Clayborn "Papa John" McGinty, 83, of Washington passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, June 27th from 5:00-7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am on Friday at the funeral home with interment to follow in Harmony Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
John was born on December 2, 1929, in Navasota, the son of Richard Baton & Myrtle (Hills) McGinty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and a sister.
Mr. McGinty is survived by his wife Kathryn McGinty of Washington; daughters, Jan Roliard of Navasota and Beverly Failla and husband Paul of Navasota; son Andy McGinty of Washington; grandchildren, Shannon & Juan Castillo, Clay Failla, Drew McGinty, and Jesse & Brannen Court; and great-grandchildren, Ashlyee Roliard & Darryl Hickman, John Kolby Roliard, Juan Castillo, Marina Castillo, Jake Pearce, Summer Pearce, Kenzie Macy, Rocco Court, Collins Nicole Court, Ruby June Court, and Walker Court.
Serving as pallbearers are Drew McGinty, Clay Failla, John Kolby Roliard, Juan Castillo, Brannen Court, and Juan M. Castillo, all of Navasota. Paul Failla is an honorary pallbearer.
