Jimmie Hicks

Jimmie Hicks, 67, of Iola passed away Tuesday, November 29 at his residence. The family will receive visitors from 5-7pm Friday at Nobles Funeral Chapel and funeral services are set for 10am Saturday at Martins Prairie Missionary Baptist Church in Keith with the Rev. Bill Wiman officiating. Interment will follow in the Martins Prairie Cemetery.
Jimmie was born in Waynesville, MO on April 23, 1944, the son of Bradie and Marguerite (Hutto) Hicks. He married Teresa Lynn Steward in Willis on October 26, 1978. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Terry of Iola; son, Bradie Hicks of Iola; first cousins, June and J.J. Jackson, Pam and David Hokanson and Barbara and Jim Mercer, all of Pearland, Betty and Jay Mingle of Corpus Christi, Ron Jackson of Atlanta, GA, Don and Nancy Hutto of Tennessee, and numerous other cousins.
Serving as pallbearers are Warren Donaway of Bryan, Larry Joiner of College Station, Allen Stedman of Oklahoma, Dexter Lavender of Anderson, J.R. Schneider of Anderson and Mitchell Beene of Iola. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Bradie Hicks of Iola.
