Mr. Jim Hitchcock, 73, of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, April 6, at the Conroe Regional Medical Center. A memorial service is set for 2pm Sunday, April 11 at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota
Jim was born February 13, 1937 in Corsicana, to James Roy and Lillian (Bass) Hitchcock. He graduated from Corsicana High School in 1956. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served until 1962, and was released with an honorable discharge. He went to work as an oilfield production manager for Drillco Oil Tools, where he worked for 18 years. He was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors, especially playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jim is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Holly & Robert Friesenhahn of LaVernia; sons & daughters-in-law, Matt & Debra Hitchcock of Casper, WY, and Mark & Gloria Hitchcock of Anderson; sister & brother-in-law, Jeanette & Eugene Harris of Covington, GA; brother, Bob Hoover of Corsicana; and 5 grandchildren.
