Janice Bartlett, 61, of Plantersville, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Les Spear officiating. Interment will follow in Plantersville Cemetery.
Eddie Janice Bartlett was born in Houston on May 29, 1947 to Ebbie J. & Jeffie M. (Grant) Evans. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Houston in 1964 and went on to attend business school. On March 22, 1980, she married Trumon C. Bartlett and the couple moved to Grimes County in 1984. Janice was a folk artist and a member of the Royal Rovers Travel Club. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Janice is survived by her husband Trumon C. Bartlett; daughters, Tina Box and husband Troy of Kerrville, Tammy CeBallos and husband Chris of Hudson Oaks, Teri Ivy of Weatherford, Teresa Bartlett of Carencro, LA, Ellen Bartlett of Premont, and Tanya Spear and husband Les of Crockett; son, Truman C. Bartlett II and wife Laura of Portland, OR; Aunt Claudia Reynolds of Tomball; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
