Janet Leiber, 80, of Navasota passed away Sunday, January 12, at The Med in College Station. She was born on February 2, 1933 to Charles Stegemoller and Esther (Krueger) Stegemoller in Washington, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with family present from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 15th at 10:30am at Friedens Church of Washington, UCC., with the Reverend Greg Felder officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Janet enjoyed the outdoors, particularly the joys that Springtime brings… she took great pride in her vegetable gardens and her farm animals. She loved spending time with her family and derived a great deal of enjoyment from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Leiber is survived by her husband, Edward and their children, daughter Jane Krause and husband Mark of Navasota; sons Charles Leiber and wife Tammy of Navasota; David Leiber and wife Brenda of Sugar Land and a brother, Earl “Skipper” Stegemoller and wife Alverne of Washington. She was the proud grandmother to Lindsey and Joe Young, Jamie and Ken Mock, Heath and Ashlee Leiber, Matthew Krause, Trey Krause, Kayla Leiber and Kirsten Leiber and great-grandmother to Macy Mock, Carley Mock, Ethan Leiber, Casen Leiber and Sawyer Young.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Johnny Stegemoller and Clarence Stegemoller.
Memorials may be donated to Friedens Church of Washington Memorial Fund.
