Mr. James William Hurley, 73, of Bryan passed away Monday, June 13 at his residence. The family will receive visitors from 10am - 5pm Thursday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota. A graveside service is set for 10am Friday at Peach Creek Cemetery in Millican.
James was born in El Reno, Okla. on April 26, 1938, the son of Arthur and Katie (Means) Hurley, Jr. He married Barbara Curd in Caldwell on December 27, 1953 and loved her for 57 years.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife; mother, Faye Britton of Bryan; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and John Martin of Corpus Christi, and Lindra and Ricky Blum of College Station; sons and daughters-in-law, Clinton Hurley of Bryan, Donald and Leanna Carey, and Dennis and Andrea Carey, all of Millican; sisters, Thelma Zak of Vermont, Jean Saulsbury of Bryan, Regina Holly of Florida and Mary Jane Hunt of Boerne; brother, Lewis Hurley of Livingston; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
