James A. Guillory, 74, of Bryan passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 1 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 2, 2008 at Nobles Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Bill Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow in Wheat Cemetery in Millican. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
James was born in St. Laundry Parish, LA on March 22, 1934, the son of Addison and Eula (Cranford) Guillory. Mr. Guillory married Janelle Fontenot in Mamou, LA on August 8, 1952. He was an auto mechanic and painter/sandblaster for Non-Corrosive of Texas. He very much enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
James was preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years Janella Guillory, his parents, and 6 brothers and sisters.
Mr. Guillory is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy & Kenneth Smith and Jackie & Gary Roberson, all of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald & Janet S. Guillory of Bryan; sisters and brother-in-law, Viola Barker, Virgie Smith, and Herbert Fontenot, all of Millican, and June Fontenot of Mamou, LA; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.L. (Slim) & Ather Guillory of Pasadena, and Eddie & Kitty Guillory of Mamou, LA; long time companion, Jenny Hallohan of Ville Platte, LA; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Stephen Pyron of Houston, Dallas Roberson of Austin, Jonathan Guillory of Bryan, Herbert Fontenot of Millican, J.L. (Slim) Guillory of Pasadena and Johnny Guillory of Houston.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Millican Community Center or Hospice Brazos Valley.
