Jackie was born in Houston, Texas on March 11, 1950, the daughter of Ira Lee Morris & Lena Mae Ross. She married Terry Barton Sharp in Shiro, Texas on March 19, 1982.
Family was important to Jackie and she always kept up with them. She loved her husband, Terry and they did everything together. They were happy being with other and loved watching their movies. Her furry friends made her happy and loved her dogs lying in her lap. She fussed over them like her children, Timmy and Chad. Her boys were very important to her and struggled when they were grown and gone. She loved each and every one of her grandchildren and great grandchild even though she was not able physically to see them as often as she would have liked. She was a daddy's girl and loved him the most! She loved her brothers and sisters and especially when there was a domino game involved. Her extended family could always expect a phone call from her, she loved keeping up with them.
Jackie worked as a professional cake decorator and was known for her original creations. She graced her brothers, sisters and nieces with their original weddings cakes. Her artistic side included pastel painting, drawing, and sewing in her younger days. Jackie was also known for her cooking including fried chicken, potato salad and her wonderful pies. It was evident that she loved her flowers and hanging baskets that surrounded her front yard. She collected Barbie and porcelain dolls, and beanie babies. She had a movie collection that would put Netflix to shame. She also enjoyed her WI, Nintendo, X-Box, and computer games. Garage sales were another passion and loved to shop without buying a single thing.
Jackie never met a stranger and everyone liked her. She had a way of always being positive even when her cancer treatment made her deathly ill and the cancer spread into her bones. She would say "that's okay" when her healthcare providers would cause her pain and always appreciated their help when she could not help herself.
She liked her diet coke in a Large Styrofoam cup, ice tea with two sweet and lows, and her rum and diet coke. Jackie also had a fondness for her frozen margaritas w/ salt. She loved her candy and snacks especially her snickers, peanut clusters, Rolos and chili cheese Fritos. Country music was her choice and especially loved the oldies.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
