Jack Robert Evans, 65, of Anderson passed away Friday, May 9 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 15 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with the family present from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 16, 2008 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Navasota with Orlen Howell speaking. Interment will be at 1:30 pm in the Houston National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Jack was born in Montpelier, Idaho on June 29, 1942, the son of Chris and Emma (Messerly) Evans. He was an attorney and also served in the U.S. Marines.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and son Jack Robert Evans, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years Pamela Evans of Anderson; daughters and son-in-law, Andrea & Donnie Evans of South Jordan, UT, Elizabeth Evans of San Clemente, CA, and Jaclyn Evans of Twin Falls, ID; sons and daughters-in-law, David & Kanda Evans of Georgetown, TX, Vermont & Tammi Evans of Springville, ID, Justin Evans of Round Rock, TX and Joseph Patrick & Tracy Evans of Washington D.C.; and 6 grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are David Evans, Vermont Evans, Justin Evans, Joseph Patrick Evans, Peter Black and Justin Brooks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Pamela Evans for the Jack R. Evans Memorial Scholarship for Anderson High School.
