Mrs. Itha Ray Martin, 75, of Navasota, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the College Station Medical Center. Memorial services will be held 2 pm Friday, January 23 at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Donald Kasper officiating.
Itha was born June 11, 1933 to George & Robbie (Fullen) Griffin in Pittsburg, TX. She married Howard Martin on June 25, 1954 in Houston. A loving wife and mother, she will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Leonard Martin; infant daughter Mary Lisa Martin; sister Ozelle Toole; and brother Sanford Griffin.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her daughters, Jo Ann Husfeld and husband Dennis of Navasota, Nancy Roman and husband Buck of Amarillo, Malinda (Susie) Juel and husband Victor of La Porte, and Kay Hudspeth of Pasadena; son Robert Martin and his wife Cindy of Navasota; sisters, Vida Rust of Elysian Fields, TX, Carline Morton of Springfield, MO, Valrie Osborne and husband Warren of Houston, and Vonelle Roggenkamp of Houston; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
