Irene Love Wilson

 As the sun rose on February 10, 1941, on a cold wintery morning in Anderson, Texas, at 7:40 a.m. an additional ray of sunshine entered the world. Willie “Bubba” Love (son of Sam and Georgia Mae Love of Richards, Texas) and his wife, Mary Alice Barry Love (daughter of Aaron and Irene Barry of Anderson, Texas) welcomed their third child, a daughter they would name Irene.

 Irene enjoyed growing up in a loving and God-fearing household filled with siblings: Gracie Mae (deceased 2010), Willie Jr. (deceased 2011), Oscar (deceased 2013), Celestine (deceased 2024), Joyce (deceased 2011), Glen, Lois Jean, and Timothy.

 While attending Richards High School, Irene met James E. Wilson. After graduating, they would later go on to marry on August 27, 1960. To this union three children were born: James Jr., Clifford, and Brette. Sadly, on May 21, 1982, James preceded Irene in death.

 Irene also attended Blinn College and worked in healthcare/medication administration, education as a teacher’s assistant, and later retired from the criminal justice system.

 After years of secular retirement, while still maintaining connections with extended family and throughout her community, Irene eventually succumbed to illness and peacefully passed away on January 02, 2025. She will be extremely missed from her cherished roles as Mom, Sister, Granny, Auntie, and Ms. Irene.
