Ina Barker

Mrs. Ina Mae Allen Barker, 91, of Caldwell passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 at her residence. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, December 8 at Nobles Funeral Chapel and funeral services are set for 10:00am Wednesday, December 9, at the funeral home with Rev. Johnny Sloan of Rock Prairie Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Peach Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Barker was born March 17, 1918 to Ebbie & Ida Marquart Allen in Peach Creek. She was married to the love of her life, Tom Barker, for 71 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Survivors include her daughters & sons-in-law, Barbara and Frank Snyder of Missouri City, Shirley & Andrew Perry of Caldwell; sons & daughters-in-law, Tommy & Helen Barker of Brasher, Donald & Frances Barker of Colmesneil, Raymond Barker of Navasota, Harold & Barbara Barker of Valentine; sisters & brothers-in-law, Dorothy Dugger of College Station, Barbara Albright of Jacksonville, TX; brothers & sisters-in-law, E.E. Allen, Jr., Alva West, and Ruth Allen all of College Station; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, 5 special "adopted" grandchildren; and dedicated caregiver, Amanda Martinez-Perez.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and granddaughter, Tommie Elaine Loddy.
Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons & great-grandsons.
