Mrs. Ignacia "Nancy" (Sanchez) Ruiz, 71, of Navasota, passed away Thursday, November 29th at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center. Visitation will be held Monday, December 3rd, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, December 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, with the Rev. Rodolfo "Jojo" L. Cal-Ortiz officiating. The rite of committal will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Nancy was born July 31, 1941, in Allen Farm, TX, the daughter of Francisco Sanchez, Sr. and Juanita (Anguiano) Sanchez. She married Vincent Ruiz on February 1, 1969.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Julian Sanchez, Sr. and Frank Sanchez, Jr.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Vincent Ruiz of Navasota; daughters and sons-in-law, Christina and Joe Razo of Arlington, Theresa and Ruben Lopez of Bryan and Charlotte and Michael King of Euless; sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances Sanchez Wesolick of Navasota, Josephine and James Falco of Navasota, Maria Almanza of Navasota and Susana and Mark Bailey of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas; brothers and sisters–in-law, Juaquin and Dora Sanchez of College Station, Pete and Kathy Sanchez of Plano, Richard Sanchez of Bryan, Carlos and Gloria Sanchez of Navasota, Robert and Ellen Sanchez of Hampton, Virginia and Luis and Jessica Sanchez of Navasota; grandchildren, Parker Isaiah King, Nicholas Jacob King, Sophia Alexandra Lopez, Joseph Christopher Razo, Ruben Ruiz Lopez and Cecilia Grace Razo.
Serving as pallbearers are brothers, Juaquin Sanchez of College Station, Pete Sanchez of Plano, Richard Sanchez of Bryan, Carlos Sanchez of Navasota, Luis Sanchez of Navasota and nephew Julian Sanchez, Jr. of Navasota. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons, Parker Isaiah King, Nicholas Jacob King, Joseph Christopher Razo and Ruben Ruiz Lopez.
