Mr. Herman Sebastian Jr.

Herman Joseph Sebastian, Jr., 79, of Navasota died Friday, May 30, 2014 at his residence. Visitation with friends and family will be held 5:00 – 7:00pm, Sunday, June 1st at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A Prayer Service will follow at 7:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, June 2nd at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota with interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota. The Rev. Donald Kasper will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Herman was born on July 20, 1934 in Dobbin, Texas to Herman Sebastian and Dorothy Lechinger Sebastian. He married Esther Marie Brauner on February 16, 1955 in Navasota. Together they had one son and three daughters. Mr. Sebastian was very active in the local community, having served as the president of the Trinity Lutheran Church Men’s Club, Band Booster, Quarterback Club, president of Little League and an Elder at Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Esther Marie Sebastian; son and daughter-in-law Grover and Sandra Sebastian of Brenham; daughters and son-in-law Becky Knight of Cypress and Gwen and Alan Lamascus of Navasota; sisters and brothers-in-law Alice and Jim Brooks Knoxville, Tennessee, Mary and Frank Lebeck of Houston and Ann Seigle of Houston; brothers & sisters-in-law Robert and Kathy Sebastian of Huffman; grandchildren Jenny Loyd and husband Josh; Josh Sebastian and wife Amanda, Julie Mock and husband Justin, Amanda Jarvis and husband Jon, Analyse Meyer and husband G. W. and Gaston Lamascus; and five great-grandchildren, Madison Mock, Zac Lloyd, Riley Meyer, Jolene Jarvis and Jessa Jarvis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Vicky Lynn Sebastian, and sister Elsie Singletary.
Serving as pallbearers are Josh Sebastian of Brenham, Gaston Lamascus of Navasota, Josh Lloyd of Bryan, Justin Mock of Navasota, Jon Jarvis of Navasota and G. W. Meyer of Burton.
