Harold was born October 3, 1924 in Rising Star, Texas to Joseph Lee and Ruth Wellene (Baty) Evans. He proudly served the country he loved in the United States Navy during WWII. He married the love of his life, Lida Mae Roberson on March 4, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas and together they had five children. Harold owned Evanson Contracting and worked as a general contractor prior to his retirement. An outgoing and loving family man, he enjoyed ranching, hunting, fishing and life in the country. A lifelong member of the Lutheran church and a member of Lathers Local #224, his proudest accomplishment in life was being a beloved PawPaw to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
