Henry “Hank” Hegemeyer, age 86, passed away on December 12, 2024.
Henry was born in Welcome, TX on April 30, 1938, to Reinhart and Wilma Hegemeyer. Henry married Connie Hegemeyer of Navasota.
"Hank" was the name given to him because he would sit around on a trail rides, at the deer lease, or wherever else there was a good campfire and sing old Hank Williams songs. Hank loved to dance and hang out with his family and friend telling stories of the ‘good ol days'! Hank was a great carpenter and built many homes all around the area. He was number 3 of 11 kids. He married the love of his life, Connie “Sue” March 17, 1962.
Henry is survived by his daughters Missy Allphin and April Stephens & husband Edward; Sons Henry “Monkey” & wife Trisha and William “Chief” and wife Nicole; 10 grandchildren Christy, Joseph, Clayton, Rickie, Ethan, Kam, Braylee, Craig, Cassandra, and Jasen. As well as 7 great grandkids, Skylar, Karlee, Gracelynn, Jaxon, Roger, Callahan, Marcella and 1 great-great grandson Kayce.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Connie Hegemeyer; parents Reinhardt and Wilma Hegemeyer; sisters LaVerne Watson and Eilene McFerrin; brothers Delton Hegemeyer and Butch Hegemeyer; an infant sister; grandsons Josh Hegemeyer & William Hegemeyer. Services for Henry will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Lone Star Cowboy Church in Montgomery, TX with Rev. Rommie Lavergne officiating.
