Gordon Kelley, 67, of Shiro, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2026, in Temple after battling cancer. Funeral Services will be at Shiro Baptist Church at 11 am, Friday, July 12, 2024. Interment will follow in the Independence Cemetery in Bedias. Officiating services is Pastor Jay Kott of Shiro Baptist Church. Funeral services are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Gordon Kelley was born to Gerald Don and Marilyn Jordon Schultz, in Brazoria, Texas, on Monday, August 6, 1956. Gordon completed high school and then attended college before serving his term in the United States Navy. He was employed with Enterprise Transportation and Topsoe for thirty-five years before retirement. Although he had no children of his own Gordon loved all his nieces and nephews as his own. Sharing life with them was important to him. Gordon’s giving heart was also shared with the Shiro Volunteer Fire Department where he served the community for two years. He was an active American Legion Post 0640 member in Anderson and the Madison County Farm Bureau.
His parents Gerald Don Kelley and Marilyn Jordon Schultz precede him in death.
Gordon is survived by his siblings, Sherry and husband Bahram Otmishi, Kelleyne and husband Oliver Beckham, Jeremy and wife Sarah Kelley, and Kelli Kelley; his nephews and nieces, Ashley LaTour and husband Carter, Mark Beckham, Anna, Charlotte, Zane; great niece Kenzi and great nephew Brantley; other close friends and relatives.
Honoring him as Pallbearers are members of the Shiro Volunteer Fire Department.
