Gloria Martinez

Mrs. Gloria Martinez, 58, of Navasota, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the College Station Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 5 - 7pm Thursday, January 27, with a parish rosary at 7pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Friday, January 28, at Christ Our Light Catholic Church with the Rev. Rodolfo "Jojo" L. Cal-Ortiz officiating. Rite of committal followed in Oakland Cemetery.
Mrs. Martinez was born April 21, 1954 in Houston to Joe & Louisa (Navarro) Lopez, Sr. She married Luis Martinez in California in 1992.
She was preceded in death by her son, Luis Martinez, Jr.
Survivors include her husband; daughter & son-in-law, Alexandria Martinez & Franklin Matute of Navasota; sisters & brothers-in-law, Nancy Lopez of Navasota, Bessie Lopez, Rosa & Federico Rodriguez, and Patsy Martinez, all of Bryan, Mary & Gilbert Hinojosa of Navasota, and Yolanda & Victor Alvarado of Bryan; and grandson, Benjamin A. Martinez of Navasota.
Serving as pallbearers are Franklin Martinez, Gilbert Hinojosa, and Margarito Anguiano, all of Navasota, and Victor Alvarado, Michael Patrick Lopez, and David Martinez, all of Bryan.
