Glenna Smith, 82 of Navasota passed away Friday, June 16th at her home. Funeral Services will be held at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota on Tuesday, June 20th at 10:00am. Visitation with family and friends will begin prior to the service beginning at 8:00am. Interment will be in Wheat Cemetery, Millican, Texas. Mark Failla will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Glenna was born August 26, 1934 in Paris, Texas to Howard and Ollie (Finley) Floyd. She married Hoshel Smith June 21, 1960 and together they raised eight children. Shy, kind and generous, Glenna enjoyed the outdoors and spent hours fawning over her lawn and flowerbeds. She loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her family and those she loved. Glenna liked to cook and bake for special occasions and holidays, but most of all, she enjoyed loving and spoiling her grandbabies and her poodle, Mikey, whom she lost last year.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Deborah Smith and partner Doug, Pam and Wayne Trahan, Lynn and Jim Johnson and Tracy Lamb; sons and daughter-in-law Sam and Denise Kimball and Danny Kimball; sister-in-law Jan Floyd; sixteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Mauldin, Brian Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Chis Meng, Jerred Smith and Luke Graham. Marion Busa will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Hoshel Smith; brother Jerry Floyd; sisters Sandra Gaston and Carol Pruitt; daughters Kathy Parker and Glenna Gaye and her canine companion, Mikey.
