Mr. Gerald Wayne (G.W.) Schaefer, 65, of Deer Park, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Graveside services are set for 11:00am Wednesday at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.
Mr. Schaefer was born December 28, 1943 in Navasota to Lyston and Leona (Haferkamp) Schaefer. He retired from Shell Oil in 2006 after dedicating 36 years of service.
He is survived by his wife; daughter and son-in-law, Dana & Cipriano Pantoja, Sr. of Conroe; sons & daughter-in-law, Dean & Laura Schaefer of Deer Park and Darrell Schaefer of Pasadena; sister & brother-in-law, Sandra & Don Lazrine of Hempstead; brother, Reed Schaefer of Navasota and 8 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
