Mr. Gerald Meineke, 77, of Navasota passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, at his home. Visitation will be Thursday, June 21 from 5-7pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 10am Friday at the chapel with the Rev. Henry Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Gerald was born in Navasota to George and Mary (Mitchell) Meineke on June 13, 1935. He married Jeanette Cowart in Houston on April 20, 1973. Mr. Meineke served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Lynette Wood and Georgia Mae Meineke.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Mary Jeanette Meineke of Navasota; daughter, Julie Ann Mould and husband Eric of Houston; step-daughters, Barbara Ann Kershner and husband Danny of Tomball and Terri Lynn Andrew and husband Warren of Deluth, MN; step-son, Tommy Nate and wife Irma of Bandera; sister, Judy Pearson of Navasota; and grandson, Joshua Nate.
Serving as pallbearers are Gerald Campbell, Skip Nobles, Roger Douglas, Ben Swank, and Ron Stone, all of Navasota, and Ross Mitchell of Alvin.
