Georgia R. McAdoo, 73, of Navasota, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospital in Houston. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Schumpe officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Georgia was born Tuesday, April 23, 1935 in Hostyn, Texas, daughter of Martha Hrachovy. She loved spending time with family, cooking and watching baseball. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Navasota VFW Post # 4006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clynton P. McAdoo; brother, Lawrence Mitchan; and parents, Martha and August Mitchan.
Georgia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosalie and Jimmie Hensley of Navasota; Sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas J. and Mary Marek of Navasota, Fred McAdoo of Nacogdoches, and George and Judy McAdoo of Spring; Sister and brother-in-law, Marie Ann and Allan Ritterman of San Antonio; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Kathy Mitchan of Conroe; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Brett Edmonds of Spring, Thomas J. Marek II of Brenham, Chad Marek of Navasota, Cory Marek of Navasota, Michael A. McAdoo of Tomball, and Jason Rogers of Sugarland.
