Mr. George G. Wallingford, 90, of Hempstead passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. A memorial service is set for 2pm Friday, December 31, at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Henry Sanders officiating.
George was born April 25, 1920 in Field Store, TX to Alvin & Susie (Heflin) Wallingford. He married JeNell Weaver in Houston on June 17, 1941.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Survivors include his wife, JeNell Wallingford of Hempstead; daughter & son-in-law, DeLois & Gene Damron of The Woodlands; brothers, W.L. Wallingford of Plantersville, and Arthur E. Wallingford of Deer Park; grandchildren, Ronald & Cynthia Damron; and great-grandchildren, Angela Thompson & Brianna Damron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital of Houston.
