Mrs. Gay Imhoff, 74 of Plantersville, passed peacefully at her home Sunday, May 21. Visitation with the family will be at Nobles Funeral Chapel Tuesday, May 23 from 5:00-7:00 PM with a prayer service following at 7:00. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 24 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Ed Kucera officiating. Rite of committal will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Gay was born in Navasota on November 6, 1942, to James & Lillian (Arrington) Harrington. After graduating high school she married Joe Imhoff on July 18, 1964, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and together they raised four children. She worked as a florist for over 30 years and loved gardening.
Gay is survived by her husband Joe Imhoff; daughter Debra Meekins; sons Bo Imhoff, Frankie Imhoff, and Rayburn Imhoff and his wife Angie; brother Jim Boy Harrington and his wife Michele; sister Ann Weaks; granddaughters, Baylee Brzozowski, Brennan Gay Imhoff, Saylor Imhoff, and Josey Imhoff; grandsons, Cooper Imhoff, Rance Imhoff, Coy Imhoff, Will Imhoff, Westin Imhoff, Brock Meekins, and Blair Meekins; and great-grandchildren, Braize Brzozowski, Blakely Imhoff, Tripp Brzozowski, and Westley Imhoff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dell Seale, and daughter-in-law Laura Imhoff.
Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons.
