Gatsey Harman

Mrs. Gatsey (Foster) Harman, 98, of Richards passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Grimes St. Joseph Health Center. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8pm Friday at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 10am Saturday at the Union Grove Baptist Church in Richards with the Revs. Jimmy Welch & Charles Goodson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pool Cemetery in Richards. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Gatsey was born to Joseph & Gatsey (Sims) Foster in Walker County on June 26, 1914. She served as Post Master for many years.
Mrs. Harman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Earl Harman; and her grandson Mark Harman.
She is survived by her sons, Obie Harman and wife Lounell and Jerry Harman, all of Richards; sisters, Marcell Pitman and husband Hal of Houston and Mary Spell of Lafayette, LA; brother, Hiram Foster and wife Florine of Montgomery; 1 grandchild and 3 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Billy Williams of Montgomery, Roland Bussell, Barry Bay, Harold Montgomery, Ivas Montgomery, and Bobby Montgomery, all of Richards.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pool Cemetery, PO Box 355, Richards,TX 77873.
