Mr. Gary "Bo" Smith
October 31, 1945 — April 13, 2018
Mr. Gary "Bo" Smith, 72 of Shiro, passed away Friday, April 13th at his home. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, April 19th from 5:00-7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20th at 10:00am at the funeral home with interment to follow in Shiro Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Bo was born in Madisonville,Texas on October 31, 1945 to Gerald Smith and Oma Virginia Holub. He joined the U. S. Navy after high school and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge. Bo married Sidonia Fernandez in Anderson on September 19, 1970. He had one daughter. Bo was a quick learner and became a plumber, a trade which supported him and his family until his retirement. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, dancing and playing his guitar, and a Natural Light within short reach. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing as well.
Bo is survived by his wife, Sidonia Smith; daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Chris Parker; sisters Dianne, Sandra and Susan; brothers Roger Smith and wife Angie and Jerry Holub and wife Karen; grandchildren Justin Scott, Hunter Scott, Lanee Scott, Tyler Parker and Matthew Parker and great-grandchildren Lucasey Savoy and Kaseton Sperry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Michael Anthony Smith.
