Frieda Floyd

Mrs. Frieda Floyd, 99, of Roans Prairie passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 at her residence. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8pm Monday at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are at 1pm Tuesday, also at the chapel with the Rev. Tommy McDougal and Ross Skillman officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Oakland Cemetery in Roans Prairie. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Frieda was born in McGregor, Texas on February 11, 1913, the daughter of William & Emma (Sprinkman) Schmalriede.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Bernard Floyd & her daughter in-law Lela Horn.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce L. Floyd of Conroe; her sons and daughters in-law, Billy R. Horn of Conroe, Ronnie B. & Joanne Floyd of Roans Prairie; her sister in-law, Lena Schmalriede of McGregor; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her caregivers, Kathy Fernandez of Shiro and Freida Warren of Navasota.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Melissa Williamson, Gregory Horn, William Horn, Leanne Floyd, Christa Burk and Rodney Floyd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Oakland Cemetery or the Oakland Baptist Church at PO Box 49, Roans Prairie, TX 77875.
