Francisco Martinez - Borjas

Francisco Martinez-Borjas, 58, of Bryan, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, in Bryan. Visitation will begin at the family home in Bryan at 4 pm, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, the family will remain vigil with Franciso throughout the night. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Santa Teresa Catholic Church in Bryan. Interment will follow in Bryan City Cemetery. Rev. Father Albert Carbajal will officiate. Services are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel – Navasota.

Francisco was born to his parents, Martin and Jacoba Matinez-Borjas on Saturday, April 2, 1966, in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico. Francisco was very much an explorer, creating his own world to be the best he could be. He always worked hard from an early age providing for the care of his family. Fransico turned his life around realizing the importance of sobriety for himself and his family. He sponsored and hosted AA groups in the last 14 years; to do his part in making individual lives stronger.

His parents, Martin and Jacoba Martinez-Borjas; and some of his siblings all precede him in death.

He is survived by wife, Maria Garcia; his children, Juan Francisco Martinez Jr., Marisol Martinez, Ayda Martinez, Maria del Rosario Martinez, and Yanira Martinez; his bonus children Kenia Ponce, Greta Ponce, and Bogard Ponce; his remaining brothers and sisters; his godsons, Jayce Gutierrez and Ronaldo Ponce; his grandchildren; his extended family and friends.

Honoring his life as pallbearers are Juan Francisco Martinez Jr., Eduardo Martinez, Manuel Garcia, Ronaldo Ponce, Alexander Gutierrez, and Jairo Paz.
