Frances R. Munoz

Frances Reyes Munoz, 93, of Navasota, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in College Station. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Christ Our Light Catholic Church beginning at 5:00 PM with a rosary following at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Christ Our Light Catholic Church with Rev. Eli Lopez and Rev. Giovanni Nguyen as the celebrants. The Rite of Committal will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Frances R. Munoz was born on June 16, 1931, in Navasota, Texas to Robert Reyes and Francisca Mendoza. She was employed for several businesses such as laundry business, housekeeping, nursing home facility, and she enjoyed spending time caring for her family.

She met and later married Emilio Munoz, Sr. on June 19, 1948. Ten children were born to this union: Bessie, Emilio Jr., Don, Melita, Paula, Rufus, Johnny, Molly, Mary Ann, and Ricky.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Emilio Munoz, Sr.; parents, Robert Reyes and Francisca Mendoza; three sons, Emilio Munoz, Jr., Rufus Munoz, and Johnny Munoz; a son-in-law, Victor Ostiguin; and her grandson, Emilio Munoz III.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Bessie Rodriguez & her husband, Andy, Don Munoz and his wife, Lupe, Melita Ostiguin, Paula Munoz, Molly Barrientos and her husband Beto, Mary Ann Johnson and her husband Steven, Ricky Munoz; two daughters-in-law, Diana Munoz and Millie Munoz; twenty-two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Derrick Munoz, Joe Daniel Munoz, Robert Johnson, JR Munoz, Eli Munoz, and Renee Hinojosa.
