Euna “Fern” (Farr) Fletcher, 95, of Navasota, died Tuesday afternoon, June 3rd at The Seasons on Water Street, a private health care facility. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, June 6th from 5:00 until 7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will take place Saturday, June 7th at 10:00am at Anderson Baptist Church, with interment to follow at 2:30pm at Forest Park Westheimer in Houston. Rev. Kyle Childress will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Fern was born December 24, 1918 in Houston, Texas to Ralph Dan Farr and Etta Lee (Bruce) Farr. She married Arnold C. Fletcher in December, 1939. She was a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by son and daughters-in-law, Edward and Annie Fletcher of Navasota and Carol Ann (Mills) Fletcher of Houston; grandchildren Matthew McDaniel, William Fletcher, Deborah Fleming, Carrie Lowe, and Russell Fletcher; and great-grandchildren Miles Fleming, Preston Lowe, Ayden Lowe, Sarah Lowe, June Fletcher and James Fletcher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arnold C. Fletcher, son James R. Fletcher, daughter Carol McDaniel and nine brothers and two sisters.
Serving as pallbearers are Darrell Farr of New Braunfels, Robert Farr of Salado, Tommy Farr of Rockdale, Billy Bob Farr of Houston, Dennis Farr of Salado, David Farr of Thorndale, Allan Fletcher of Hutto, and Allen Farr of Hare.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered to Anderson Baptist Church Missions.
