Mrs. Eula G. King, 94, of Kansas City, Missouri and recently of Navasota passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. H. Eugene Cragg officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Eula was born on February 4, 1918, in Waldenburg, Arkansas, the daughter of T. J. & Mattie (Lambertson) Shannon.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, James Upton King, Sr. and daughter, Tommie Jane King.
She is survived by son and daughter in-law, James Upton King, Jr. and Iva Ann King of Houston; daughter, Linda Kay King of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Rick George, Billy George, Barry George, James Upton King III, Shannon Cave and David Brown; great-grandchildren, Larry George, Randy George, Katrina George, Jordan Upton King, Christopher King, Megan King, Betsy Taylor Cave and James Montgomery Cave and great-great-grandchildren, Shiloh George and Savannah George.
Serving as pallbearers are James Upton King, III, Rick George, David Brown and Larry Ray George. Honorary pallbearers are Barry Clement, Barry George, Billy George, Jonah Cave, John Gaydon, Don Lightfoot, Werner Wieser and Will Sladaritz.
