Mrs. Etta Mae (League) Robins, 78, of Navasota passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the College Station Medical Center. The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm Thursday, November 17 and funeral services are set for 10:30am Friday, November 18, both at Nobles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Hogue officiating. A graveside service is set for 10am Monday, November 21 at the Hopewell Cemetery in North Vernon, IN.
Etta was born on April 20, 1933, the daughter of Noble and Mamie (Stiennet) League. She married James Donald Robins on October 25, 1952, and was a member of the St. Joseph's Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Edwin and Kenneth League; and sister, Edith Ray.
Etta is survived by her son, Kevin Robins of Akron, OH; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Robins and Ernie Palmer of Navasota, and Cindy and Jeremy Cummins of Rensselaer, IN; sister, Evelyn Shepherd of Commiskey, IN; brother, Charles League of Ft. Wayne, IN; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Jason Katkoski and Donnie Robins, both of Navasota, TX; Jeremy Cummins of Rensselaer, IN; Chris Robins of Akron, OH; and Clayton Thompson of Itasca, TX.
