Esther Hemann

November 15, 1925 — June 16, 2009

Mrs. Esther Peters Hemann, 83, of Navasota passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Visitation will be held at Nobles Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 18th with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 19th, at Salem Lutheran Church in White Hall with Pastor Don Kasper of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Esther was born in Wiedeville on November 15, 1925, to Herman & Ida (Dreyer) Peters. She married Ernest Hemann at Salem Lutheran Church in White Hall on February 1, 1942. Esther worked for the United States Postal Service as a rural letter carrier and worked as an "Avon Lady." She loved visiting her friends and having lunch dates. Many times, she would visit the nursing home to share the newspaper and church bulletin.
Mrs. Hemann is survived by her daughter, Sandra Nobles and husband Robert of Navasota; brother, Arnold Peters of Carmine; sisters-in-law, Olga Hemann of Brenham, and Evelyn Hemann, Erna Hemann, and Alice Hemann, all of Navasota; grandchildren Laura Edgemon and husband Matthew of Celina and Chad Nobles and wife Amy of Magnolia; and great-grandchildren, Wade & Kate Nobles and Courtney Edgemon.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother & sister-in-law, Bennie & Elsie Peters; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charlie & Emma Hemann; sisters-in-law, Lydia Peters, Malinda Hemann, Esther B. Hemann, Lonie Hemann, and Dora Busse; and brothers-in-law, Henry Hemann, Fritz Hemann, Edwin Hemann, Robert Hemann, Hubert Hemann and Walter Busse.
Serving as pallbearers are Nelson Randermann of Brenham, Ronnie Hemann of Kilgore, Randy Hemann of College Station, and Hal Imhoff, Clell Goodson, and Larry Randall, all of Navasota. Honorary pallbearers include Arnold "Buddy" Peters, Jr. of Brenham, Chad Nobles of Magnolia, Matthew Edgemon of Celina, Lawrence Hemann of Brenham, Frank Pokluda of Waller, and Luke P. Scamardo II, M.D. of Navasota.
